The search service can find package by either name (apache), provides(webserver), absolute file names (/usr/bin/apache), binaries (gprof) or shared libraries (libXm.so.2) in standard path. It does not support multiple arguments yet...

The multicaster package provides utility classes for low-cost event dispatch to multiple listeners. Modeled after the AWTEventMulticaster this class provides type-safe and thread-safe generic method dispatch. The benefit of this approach to handling multiple listeners is the low overhead - when there is a single listener there is zero cost, and each additional listener requires only two additional method calls. A basic implementation is provided, the DefaultMulticaster, which uses dynamic proxies to minimize the amount of new code that must be written in order to use a multicaster.
